Active@ Hard Disk Monitor is a disk utility that verifies and monitors the status and health of your hard drives to avoid any data loss. The GUI of Active@ Hard Disk Monitor utility is friendly and easy to use; the information is divided in tabs providing different options to view and analyze information. The utility is based on the Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T). The Disk Info tab shows the attribute’s names and their values, like disk details, volumes on the disk and advanced disk information including the S.M.A.R.T. capabilities and attributes. The S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) info tab displays all the attributes and their values (including Raw Value, Worst and threshold) and the status of each one of these attributes. By selecting any of these attributes we can view a description and a recommendation about the value for a better performance. On the Scan Disk tab you can performance a scan disk to verify the integrity and allowing you to detect bad sectors on a disk’s surface of your Hard Disk Drives; the Event Log tab recorded all the events regarding the Hard Disk Drives.
